A very cute cow...or pig :)!

This post is in english, specially for my friends of the Art Of Crochet By Teresa on Facebook :)
Is the first pattern that i write, and im not so good with the english, so please, any doubt let me now...





MATERIALS

Yarn white, black, and two kinds of pink
H and J crochet hook
2 pink buttons
1 white button
1 black button
tapestry neddle for sew the parts of the hat

First, the hat is a basic shape for the Teresa's Blog: here is the pattern.
then i made the circle black for the eye of the cow :

EYE
with J hook,
in black yarn: ch 3 or magic circle
1st row:10 dc
2nd row:2 dc in each of 10 sc : total 20 dc


MOUTH
With J hook
in pink yarn:
1st row: ch 10
2nd row: dc in third chain from hook, dc in each of 7ch, 4dc in last chain, keep working around, 7dc in opposite side finally 3dc in last ch. join and finish.

you have a shape like this:


EARS
with J hook
in white yarn
1st row: ch 3 or magic circle
2st row: 6sc
3rd row: 2sc in ac of sc, total: 12 sc
4th row: 2sc in the same sc, then 1sc in the next, repeat this all around, total: 18sc
5th row: 2sc in the same sc, then 1 sc in the nex, repeat this all around, total 24sc
6th to 12nd row: sc in each sc, total 24sc.

If you have a doubt whit the ears, here is the pattern that i used

INSIDE EARS: (leaf shape)
with J hook
In soft pink yarn
chain 8

hdc in 2nd ch from the hook, 4 dc, hdc, sc.
the same in opposite side.
sew inside white ears...


FLOWER
the  flower is from: the Art of Crochet By Teresa :) here is the pattern.

now, you have all parts done, and you just have to sew it all together...

ABBREVIATIONS:

SC: SINGLE CROCHET
DC: DOUBLE CROCHET
HDC: HALF DOUBLE CROCHET


*The earflaps are optional, but if you want to put it, here is the pattern, just have to adjust to your hat.
